I need to get rid of a cold sore fast

I’ve had it since last week, and I’ve been putting Zovirax on every four hours, as prescribed, but it’s crusted and it’s not even loosening. I have a job interview tomorrow and there’s no way I can go to it looking like this. Does anyone have any quick cure for them?

take salt and water and mix it into a paste, put the salt on the sore and do this as much as needed, it should start to clear up within a couple hours. good luck.

Holding ice on them tends to work for me…plus it makes opening my mouth bearable since I tend to get them right where my mouth opens…=/

Do not put salt on it. It will only worsen. A warm tea bag or ice cube works. I carry abreva around with me all the time. I have a few tubes of it everywhere so when I feel a coldsore coming on I put it on right away. It doesnt take the coldsore away but it keeps it from spreading and doesnt dry it out to the point where its crusty. Plus the cream is white so it keeps the redness down.

I realize cold sores some times just happen. However, some people sound like they count on these reidies to get them by…

Get a prescription of valtex! When you feel a tingle, take three. Won’t become anything. Its very rare, they ever get past that. If it does its only a small
blister. Which happens sometimes from the sun. I find it does not tingle…like it normally does. So, I don’t notice right away.

As for bleach, use a Q-tip dipped in water before dipping in bleach. You can actually purify water with bleach, if done correct. Yes, drink it. However, not diluted. Its very concentrated and strong. There really is no need. Your skin is like a wall or clothing. If you want to strip it, or put a hole in it. Don’t dilute…

I found nail polish remover works pretty good as well.
