All the time mate! Most singers sound like crap live and in person. It is rare when you actually find a singer that sounds just the way the sounded on the recorded song. It’s all about the engineering and musical arrangements that they can do on the recorded voice. In person, it’s totally different. Why do you think some singers lip synch at concerts?

LOL I guess I haven’t been to enough concerts I always thought lip syncing was a myth of the media haha…

Yeah, but It can actually be a good thing when an artist sucks when singing live because you KNOW the’re not lip-synching, but, wait you can always tell, there is always some slight difference.

Odd story, I went to an REM concert a while ago. They screwed up and got in a fight on stage… But then I ended up finding that I really liked the opening band Modest Mouse

Yea, I’ve always found that disappointing. If you’ve ever heard the sone Enter Sandman by Metallica, it sounds amazing recorded, live was a little wierd.
