you need a reason to move to London lol.. if your going for 6 months or less you need nothing, you just need to fly there.. if your going to study then you have to apply for a student visa, and if your planning on working there you first have to find a job and then apply for a work permit.
…I do have a reason.
I want to work and go to school there.
Im asking HOW to apply for these things.
Like, how much is it, how long does it take? Yknow..

And you’re coming over for education? University?
Im going there for university, I think. Or im just going to work there. One or the other, or both. I have a place out there, my close friend is waiting for me to move. Its a bit in the future, but ive already started to save.
Im going to Sheffield. and im not sure which airport is closest to there either. Heathrow, or London Gatwick. I already have an idea of plane expenses. but everything else, I have no idea.
If you come over for University you apply for a visa from the UK home office that allows you to stay and work part-time to support your studies. If you come over for work then you need a trade in order to apply for a work permit and visa.
And Sheffield is two hundred miles away from London. It wouldn’t make that much difference with the airports.
a trade? like study business or something? I wouldnt know much about that, ive never left Canada.
And ****.200 miles? Im guessing someones gonna have to pick me up or im gonna have to take a cab :P

A trade; you need to be skilled in a trade. As in already skilled.
A cab! You wouldn’t find one that would do that and it would cost hundreds anyway. You’ll need someone to pick you or get the train.
Well. I HAVE skills.
but do I need like. Something stating what they are?
I’m gonna have to get in touch with my friend, though i could just take a train.
alright no offense now but it would be a pretty unwise move to shift to london at this age.. Canada has way better universities/education than england unless your talking about Oxford or something. There is an official recession going on in the UK, this is a time when theres not much available for england to offer you (financially).. on the other hand being a Canadian citizen your still on the safe side.. your young, if you cant afford it apply for a Canadian student loan and get in a college or university here.. once your done with that, plan it all out and then go wherever you want to go..

No I mean you need to be qualified and looking here for a job to help our (screwy) economy. You don’t write a list of all the things that you can do and hand that to the Home Office; you need to be qualified for a trade.
And I think the Unversities are reasonably balanced between Canada and the UK; the US has 13 of the top 20 in the world though. Why come here and not to the US.
What does my age have to do with it? You dont know me, my aspirations, hobbies or my life. Yeah, Canada is pretty swell. But I want a change, and England has been on the top of the list since i was young. I CAN do it. all I have to do is apply myself.
I have something against the US.
alot of things, and theres no way im going there.
Well, how do I become “qualified”?
i have to go to class now.
ill check this later.
Well you either come and study at a University for three or four years for a degree; after which, depending on how you do and if you can get straight into a career you may be allowed to stay and renew your visa.
Otherwise you’d be expecetd to already be qualified and now be looking to relocate here. You can’t apply for a Visa without a trade; and you can’t say you’ll become an apprentice to one when you get here. You’ll already be expected to have one.
You really don’t soound like you know to much about this. Have a look at this; it’s the Home Office website and tells you all you need to know about the UK entry systems and legibility.

Definately have a look at Immigration & Asylum and Visas. You should be able to work out if you’re entitled to come and live here or not.
i want to be with my girlfriend and work there *** well were getting married! would i be able to move there??
