Over a month ago, I applied for a position that’s my dream job…

Had phone con with President of company which went very well. Was told I would hear a ‘plan’ the following week. Nothing. Next week, nothing. E-mailed Power Point presentation of my skills, and got a ‘great’ response, with promise of plan the following week. E-mailed for status last week, no response, and again this week, no response. Should I just call the guy up and ask if I’ll be interviewing? Problem is I’m thinking of approaching other divisions of same company for a job, getting desperate.

I would give him a call. One of the best jobs I ever had I got because I called the division manager every day for two weeks. Three months later I was made the store manager and the DM told me the only reason he hired me was to shut me up and he thought that I wouldn’t last a week.

The worse thing they can do is tell you no.
