hi i am a mother of 2 my husband has been laid off

from his union construction job for 5.5 months( he had just graduated to full mechanic 2 months before so we had literally no savings) we are now in the midst of an eviction and nee to be out within 72 hours does any one have any advice on this matter as this is all new to me and the puiblic assistance people aren’t helping..we are in the long island new york area

I think they have to give you 30 days to get out… If you don’t pay rent every 72 hours you have longer than that unless you like haven’t paid in months. Around here it takes 3 months to evict someone. Camp out in the apartment until the Sheriff shows up. No family or friends there?
