Mobile stolen, advice needed.

We bought our son a mobile for christmas well actually it came free on a 24mth contract. it was insured and he has had it stolen tonight it was literally snatched out of his hands whilst he was texting a friend in town. he reported it stolen immediately and I have phoned the network provider to block it, but will my insurance cover it as it was my son using it and he is 15? all the documents are in my name.
