I think I have ADD.

I always feel stupid cause I miss what people are saying when they are talking to me. It’s not like I’m trying not to listen, my mind just takes time to wrap it’s self around an idea. I will rush through things and miss importent details so then I feel stupid and upset and I take a half an hour to do somthing to make sure I get it right (I triple check it). I took a few quizes and they said I have ADD. Somone very close to me thinks I have it, but dosn’t think taking meds are a good idea. I’d like to see a doctor, because i’m tired of living life like this, what do you think?

I think your best bet is giving the doctor a visit. No one else will be able to diagnose you, as they’re not professionals.

i have ADD and it is very hard to deal with in school and outside of school. there are certain chemicals in the brain that help you to concentrate and control your thought processing, but with ADD there is a lack of these “chemicals.” i recommend you see a Psychologist first to be tested officially and to talk about whats going on with you. as far as meds go, if you are ADD and see a Psychologist/therapist, they will figure out what meds are good for you. trust me, it takes a long time, a lot of changing medication and learning to live with this disorder. after you have taken medication for a few years you might feel that you want to stop. this is perfectly fine but will take a lot of work to do.
