Summer Reading Help
I know it’s not summer yet, but it’s sure is REALLY hot where I live.
I need help with choosing a book I’m going to read for summer reading.
I narrowed the list down to 3.
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
If you have read any of them, can you tell me what you like or dislike about them?
Thank you.

holy ****
this is depressing, no reply, nothing at all.
Do people not read anymore?!
Catch 22 cause it’s one of the most recommended books.
I’ve enver read any of them. I only heard of Catch 22 cause I saw it on Harvard’s top 100 classical books to read…It’s on most “Top Books to read” too…So I think it’s a good classic. You can read an overview about your 3 choices so that you can make a more informed decision.
If you like classic books, I suggest The Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, The Alchemist, the Girl with the Pearl Earring, Les Miserables.
I’m reading Les miserables now.

that is on top of my list.
it got thrown back abit by school books, remember?
we were gonna do a reading club but i screwed it up i guess.
:\
Ah, yes I remember.
I tried to read it without looking up what the slangs mean, it was so hard to read.
And I just read it again last week(with the meanings of the words this time…) I really like it.
You HAVE TO read it :D
well i have it on my bookshelf and i will be waiting around alot during spring break, because I am going to Washington DC via some mode of transportation, and seeing as teleportation technology is behind and very expensive, I will be stuck waiting somewhere
The first time I read it I was on a plane to Washington DC
xD
Though it made no sense… I had no idea what the words mean until I looked it up.
Catch 22 is cool…. :3
catch 22 or see if you can read Fahrenheit 451 …… thats great and a classic
I read Fahrenheit 451 last year, it’s now one of my favorite books :]
yeah one of mine too!!! have you read his others? something wicked this way comes….or martian chronicles?
Nope, but I have some time.
Which one of his would you recommend?
both Matian ch is more sci fi but kinda old school sci fi you know? still very good… and something wicked is more mysterious
I also have read all Chuck Palinuks books…. he wrote Fight Club… yes it was a book first, but he is a very dark disturbed funny author
those are my 2 fav writers
As soon as I finish the books on my list, I will read those.
:]
lol good im sure you’ll enjoy…. oh that movie Choke that came out this spring was a chuck book too…. not of his best in my opinion …. but you get the idea
I don’t know that movie lol
But thank you for recommending the books.
