If swimming pools were gender separated, how would you deal with a family that consists of a father and a daughter, or a mother and a son?

If they decided to make swimming pools gender separate, how long do you think it would be before they apply that rule to similar places such as the beach?

Are you mad.. thats just furthering the segregation that already appears between men and women. we are all equal and should be treated as such. if someone wants to wear a bikini then thats there choice. And it is not there fault that you or someone else might sexualise it.

Honestly I think you are putting way too much time and concern into something that is only a big deal cause your making it one. Dehumanizing ? a little extreme dont you think . how is it dehumanizing ? I completely disagree with you completely and respectfully suggest you get over it. If it bothers you go elsewhere or at a different time when there arent as many people around. sounds like you have your own inner demons you need to work out.

I have seen some radical ideas in my time but that is one of the top ones. Do you not remember what segregation did way back when? Have you lost your mind?

How do you see it as dehumanizing? I’m just curios how you came to that point.

girls should wear more modest clothing in the basic public, but the pool is differant circumstances

I grew up watching pink string bikini’s that were so much sexier than what Fredericks of Hollywood sells that I am used to it. It is the human body, you hide your privates and show off what ever looks good.

also, what about nudist places?
we should learn how to see the human body without so much sexuality.

and i agree with you, we sexualise the human body so much.. well some of us do.
i think there might be something broken in your head if you get excited every time a good looking girl walks past you on a beach…

But lets everyone just remember that women stare at men just as much as men stare at women. im sorry but i think its totally natural for us to be attracted to each other like that. and no amount of segregation will change that fact.

I remember one time my girlfriend gave me a thong. You know, a man thong. I put it on backwards and it fit better! I was so mad!

Did you guys know that no matter how many layers of clothing you wear, you are totally naked underneath all those clothes?

theres nothing wrong with the naked human body after all we would be born fully clothed now would’nt we. its just when people take it to far you can be naked in front of others and not feel sexually attracted to them..

I think completely nude beaches are not as sexy as normal beaches because an 18 year old girl with a thong is much more appealing than a 60 year old guy naked. The babes are on the beach now! My wife and daughter and my sister in law and my daughter’s best friend are already laying on the beach for the third day in a row and are toasted watching the tide roll up on the white sand of the Gulf Coast. Spring break ‘09… I get to stay home and work!

Florida spring break go now and for the next month and a half!!!

Yeah my daughter and her bf and friends are down there right now too. I love the Gulf Coast. Lived there for 5 years and that is the only place I would rather be right now besides here in good old Manchester, TN. But like you, I’m stuck here.

Do you know if a father and son went swimming and the son was 6 years old. he would have to get changed separately? becuase the father isnt allowed into the children’s changing rooms nor is the child allowed into the adults changing rooms.. its mad.

Little kids naked are normal for me. Try raising five children… two at a time in diapers! Definitely not a turn on.

Im gonna vote no on segregated swimming pools allthough the idea of breaking the law to take a dip with my gf sounds kinda hot Im sure the novelty of it would wear off before long, besides she looks better in any kind of swimwear than anyone whos company I would find myself in in a guys only pool. as for how clothed a person should be well I think common sense should decide, I mean I wouldnt want to see a bunch of nekkid people buying groceries at the local wal mart. (having a full fledged nude standing behind me at the check out counter might be a bit unsettling,but a beach, or places where minimalist clothing makes sense I say live and let live.
