Insurance help: I got rear-ended. - Help.com

I got rear-ended.

Was given false insurance info, but was able to get ID and Driver license #. The police were not called and since there was no police report my insurance is going to tack me with all the charges and rate increase to fix.

Report it to the police anyway…it couldn’t hurt to try, and if the police can find the driver you can go through their insurance instead of yours
