The stereotypical vision of the Egyptian Pyramids are large mountain like brown piles of stone uprooting from the desert having a rough contour. Though when first constructed around 2500 BC. The pyramids were paper white and as smooth as glass, toping the pyramid was a golden capstone that gleamed in the desert sun. It was an amazing spectacle. The pyramids somewhat stayed in this state until the Arab invasion of Egypt around AD 500. The Arab invaders stripped the pyramid of it’s smooth limestone and built a huge section of Cairo. Many of the Mosques and Palaces of Cairo consist of the Ancient stones of the pyramids. Quite sad actually.

The pyramids also lie at the very center of the earth’s entire land mass. The only other point of intersection of these two lines is over the ocean. This choice of location 5000 years ago is virtually impossible as there was no world travel, maps or geographical knowledge (they thought the world was flat.) The golden tips illuminated in sunlight and are speculated to have been visible from the moon.

I doubt they know more than we do, there is no evidence of advanced science in their texts. Nobody really knows how they did what they did, which is why its a world wonder. Some people even speculate extraterrestrial intervention. I think I once read a hypothesis that the pyramids were originally intended as guidance beacons for spacecraft.

Excuse me?

“The first historically documented Egyptian pyramid is attributed to the architect Imhotep, who planned what Egyptologists believe to be a tomb for the pharaoh Djoser. Amenhotep is credited with being the first to conceive the notion of stacking mastabas on top of each other — creating an edifice composed of a number of “steps” that decreased in size towards its apex. The result was the Step Pyramid of Djoser — which was designed to serve as a gigantic stairway by which the soul of the deceased pharaoh could ascend to the heavens. Such was the importance of Imhotep’s achievement that he was deified by later Egyptians.”

Regardless, its the leading theory by the worlds experts. Note my terminology “it is said that…” Until you’ve got evidence against that theory, you can’t claim its false; you can only disagree with it.
