heart help: My son at 26 had no insurance and he had a heart attack. - Help.com

My son at 26 had no insurance and he had a heart attack.

Never the less I am helping him pay for his medical bill and putting a daughter through college on a salary of 29,000 a year. I had to sell my car and I am using public transportation now. I live from pay check to pay check. I am not expecting anyone to feel sorry for me because the lord has blessed me with my health to be here for a purpose. I just sometimes come home and cry and wonder if this burden will ever end. I always thought that when your children get older that it becomes time for you to enjoy your life. If someone understand what I am going through and feel the need to help us we would appreciate it and I know the deed that is done for us will not be in vein but put to good use. I work for the Veterans Affairs and everything that I am saying can be proved. Thank you for even taking the time to read my letter.

How is your son doing?

Does your daughter help with the bills? She can work a semester and go to school the next semester until you guys get over the hump.

Thank you for asking he had surgery and they put a stent in his heart. He is with me right now and doing fine.

My daughter is a full time student at Spellman in Georgia and we get aid from the state. Mostly loans are used or my help. I’m afraid that if she does not go straight through college that she will not complete school. Education is very important to make it in this world today.

God bless you and your children. When they get older, they will REALLY remember and even be more grateful for what you are doing.

My mother put me and my brother thru college working in a cafe 7 days a week. She is now 84 and doing great. She saved some money and invested it along the way and has done very well.

It can be done, but it will take some effort on everyone’s part. As, me and my brother, worked and went to school.

Good luck…

Thank you and it’s not luck it’s “Good God” I live by faith and hope that things will get better and a whole lot easier. Sometimes just sharing your burdens with someone else (venting) feels so much better it may not solve the problem but just knowing that someone is there for you and they dont even know you but they took the time to listen and reply helps alot. I know that my children appreciate my sacrifies that I am doing for them and I hope that when they have children that my morals,
values and teachings are well spent on there children.
