well, some people think it’s a right to smoke in some cases to hurt your body.

A while back a person really didn’t like to smoke, didn’t to smell smoke, and they quickly grasp how the legal system works. So they set out to make this a non-smoking society and others followed all the way to the supreme court. After that there were several law suits that followed chastizing the companies like Phillip Morris for creating more nicotine in the tobacco that was given. They actually went from 40 gms to 70 gms, approximately.

The tobacco companies set out to create a tobacco that hooked people and they couldn’t refure or get off smoking no matter what. So now you know. If you need further proof on why people shouldn’t smoke than I suggest to visit the nursing homes and when you see the elderly on 3 inhalers, and oxygen machine, and a respirator perhaps it will hit home as to why one shouldn’t smoke.

it’s funny, because the post was asking why smoking marijuana be banned, not why Tobacco is restricted.

Sorry missed the marijuana on the next line. It’s pretty much the same though. It’s still inhaling a substance that has been manufactured to be stronger and stronger as time goes on. People aren’t safe from the effects of smoke no matter what kind of tobacco it it or substance.

Both political partys use it as a wedge issue. They say they are pro family by this issue, then they can raise taxes and everything else that they want to do that the public would not like. If we can make medical use legal first then it can happen eventually.

eh, both Oregon and California are considering legalizing and taxing it. In the next 15 years may be entirely decriminalized.

It was a way to bust black people. In the 30’s when they criminalized it a lot of black people smoked and white people didn’t know much about it. Then in the 60’s white kids discovered it and now they don’t know what to do. It gives big brother a reason to make your life miserable which is his main objective…

Because it kills thousands of people and its illegal to smoke in some places because ’second hand smoke’ also kills people and I have hard it can effect a person who doesnt even smoke more then someone who does smoke.

I personally think it should just be completely illegal it doesnt do anything(besides get rid of some strees) thats good for anyone, it even harms people who dont smoke.

Dear Interested Readers,
Marijuana is a problem because it is NATURAL, and not yet can companies patent and control the sales of (pills, medication, drugs)Marijuana. Although “Monsanto” a huge corp.(just one of many examples of huge lobbying power in OUR politics), is currently leading the way in BIO-engineering crops, such as soybeans and corn.

These newly engineered plants (and eventually gene spliced animals) are subject to Ownership and control rights by their creators(investors)

PROFIT PROFIT PROFIT

You may ask: Cant the big buisness leaders and people who make the ultimate decisions see that profit can be made through legalization?
Negative! uncontroled and unsourced revenue and exchange that circulates locally, by means of local trade in plant (done freely), is NO comparison to a funnelled, controlled, monopolized system of regulation.

That being said, Regulation may be the most probable key to legalization as cigs and alcohol have taken this route to becoming commonplace, but I believe marijuana is seriously over scape-goated and that with anything else in existance, Keep fire, drugs, weapons, violence, hate etc. from children and ethically wrong persons, meanwhile punishing extreme abusers that infringe upon other peoples rights. (car accidents, extreme neglect or abuse)

~You really should be more concerned with our freedom of speech~
