CPR - help on English term

Hi! I’m translating a text about adult BLS and resuscitation. I am looking for the English word that describes the following action:

when a victim’s unconscious and you have to perform mouth-to-mouth, you first have to make sure you do the head-tilt chin-lift manoeuvre. The vicitm may have a bite reflex, so to protect your own fingers, you have to press the victim’s cheeks from the outside inwards, right in between the victim’s jaws. What’s the proper English term for this action in English?
(pressing the victim’s cheeks from the outside inwards, right in between the victim’s jaws)

Are you looking for a specialist term or just a descriptive word? I’d call it compression of the cheeks to obstruct the jaw.
