My house was foreclosed and the government’s taking all my stuff.

My teenage girl is crying. I don’t think the government has the right to do this. Do they?

God, that sounds awful. I am so sorry. And I don’t really know the answer to your question. Why don’t you call Legal Aid? Or I bet if you google “foreclosure laws” or “foreclosure help” you’ll find a good source of information.

I’ll keep you in my prayers. Do you have relatives to go to?

I can’t even describe how I feel about the government right now. They couldn’t print a word I have to say. Look at the bright side, they’re giving billions to Wall Street and Generous Motors.

Then don’t tell her school what happened. They don’t need to know.

The government can take your stuff if you owe back taxes other wise the bank can foreclose on you house and car if you owe back payments on them. Hope this helps :-)
