PLEASE HELP! - Help.com

PLEASE HELP!

I recenty got an ipod touch. I got a trial version of a DVD to iPod converter. It converted the DVD into an mpeg4 file. The file is now saved onto my desktop. When I try dragging the file into iTunes, it has a little plus next to the icon (when it doesn’t want me to add a certain file because of its type, it has an X. when it supports the type, it has a plus.) Yet when I let go of the icon, it doesn’t show up in the library. How do I get the file to my library? PLEASE RESPOND & THANK YOU.
