Someone with knowledge please help me,

I am in 11th grade right now and have a similar problem that many other high schoolers have, I’m not sure what i want to major in during college. Everyone says to “take a wide variety of courses, find out what interest you and go with it” but to me this seems like a waste of time and money (which im short on). Or am i begin naive and just ignoring the advice of people who have gone through this too? I have tons of interest and hope to do something exciting. Heres some stuff about me:

- Computers and technology have always been awesome to me, I have considered a CS degree but it seems slightly boring. Anyone in the field have input on that?
- The lifestyle of CEO’s and Entrepreneurs fills my dreams, everyone says dont do it for the money but moneys what I live for.
- As I said I love money, including the stock market. Its really interesting but right now its doesnt seem to be doing well, any chance Economics will be a good degree to have in the future?
- In the past couple months Political science has caught my attention, unfortunately Im not a big fan of writing which Ive read political careers have a TON of.

These are just somethings that I’m interested in and if you have anything else you think i might like just let me know. Any help well definatly be appreciated.

In this financial crisis, we need economists more than ever.

Have you narrowed down your options?

I think you’d do well in the commerce field because you enjoy economics, CEO stuff etc…You could be a great CEO with an economics degree, or a commerce related degree. You can be an accountant and rise to be the controller of a multi-national conglomorate or something like that.

IS double-majoring an option?

Major in economics and something else.

Here’s a question that could point you to the right direction.
How do you see yourself 5 years after college?

There are tests that would give you results that tell you what is suited for you…It just gives you an advice though. It tests your proficiency in different areas. Heard of such test?

I’d try to surf the net for that but I’m kinda busy right now. maybe later.

You can ask your school guidance counsellor if they have such tests.

What subjects are you good at? DO you like to be constantly in the office or always on the go?
