I wasn’t aware that atheists are trying to take religion / spirituality away from other people…

It is up to the individual to choose what they believe.. An atheist or, for that matter, a religious person can go on & on about their views as much as they want but they are unlikely to change anyone’s mind…

So, basically it’s not worth worrying about… :)

I think religion is ok, I don’t want to take it away from anyone but what I do hate it that people who have religion are not happy with keeping it to themselves, they have to keep going on about it like your doomed if they do not convert you.

Yes, I am glad you love god and he loves you but really, I do not want that **** in my face all the time, I made my mind up about it, I was not forced to not believe in it, I was presented the facts the same as you, I just chose something different, so deal with it…

if you genuinely have a problem with that cant you write to richard dawkins or others like him? Why post it somewhere where a lot of people are vulnerable? You could poison someones view of a huge group of people, you could cause persecution with some of the things you say sometimes. Is that what God would want? Really? Yeah.. my dad goes on and on about this all the time… only the other day I came home to find him ‘laying into’ my step-mom because the catholic church wouldn’t give an exact date for the beginning of the soul.

So I asked him. “Dad, do you think fundamental athiesm is as dangerous as fundamental religion?”.. and he didn’t want to answer that question… so I said. “Was Robert Oppenheimer an athiest”? .. and that really made him shut uo. haha.
