as your walking down the street on a casual weekday,
bagel in one and and starbucks in the other, you notice a one dollar bill falls out of a womens purse, and by the time you get to the doller, shes halfway down the street. Do you…
- pick up the dollar and run up to the lady to give it to her
- keep the dollar for yourself
- ignor the dollar all together
and be honest. no one will know what you voted anyway!

[poll: pick up the dollar and run up to the lady to give it to her, keep the dollar for yourself, ignor the dollar all together]
I would keep the dollar, wait a week, and then spend it
would it make a differance if it was a man?
I’d give it back to her, because I would want someone to do the same for me.
A., a href=”http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=1466296″>Acai Burn /a>
what if your rushing late for work and you dont have the time to run after her, but you sure have the time to pick it up?
after all…its just one dollar! its not like stealing, is it?
If you’re close enough to see her drop it and have enough time to pick it up, you’re close enough to give it back to her.
id yell “oi, you dropped some money” and get their attention, if they shrugged and walked off id keep it, if they ran back id give it to them.
No its not like stealing but you know, its common courtesy.
I can see a dollar from a mile away! hot boys too!
Id give it to her, because once this winter a guy ran after me a long way just to give me a glove I dropped. So therefore, I got my believe in humanity again and besides, a dollar might be important to her/him.

Good for you.
a glove in the middle of winter is differant.

i think its quite similar to a pound in the middle of an economic crash. A small help against the problem.
I would keep the dollar, cause I need it to help pay for cosmotology school. and if I asked the lady, she would never give me a dollar. so this is like the universe giving her dollar, on her behalf, to me :)
but most people have only one pair of gloves for winter. this is a busness women going to work, she has more than one dollar

and what about the purse. what if its a Louis Vuitton purse, I’d keep it to buy my own purse! I cant resist Louis Vuitton
because I need it more and shes already down the block, and look the train is coming! even if I run now, she’ll probibly be on the train by the time I get nere her.
and look, shes already crossed the street and now the sign says dont walk so shes getting further away!
Her purse will probably have her ID in it, with her address on it. Take it back to her.
her purse didnt fall
and I wouldnt touch someones purse, I’d ignor it and let it work itself out
I would pick it up and run after her. if she got on the train before i made it to her id use it to replace the bagel i threw away to pick up the money.
But i know that when you drop something and someone chases you down to give you it. it really makes your day knowing that there are still good people out there.
what if this women is a CEO that just got a million dollar bounous from the bailout money Obama is giving AIG?
you would sacrifice the bagel? your not Jesus!

that wouldn’t happen becuase i live in the UK. as for bagels i would much prefer a steak bake or a bacon roll, becuase i exercise i can eat delicious food. I would regardless of who it was hand them back that money. becuase im a good person and i treat people the way i would like to be treated.
yeah if it was a dollar probably give it back and if the girl is hot then definetly hit up on her…but if it’s a hundred dollars possibly a different story…i dunno depends on how if i am feelin thuggin or not.
I would give it back to the person that dropped it.
However if I didn’t see who dropped it, i would just ignore the dollar.
oh if i didnt see who it was i would keep it or give it to a charity if there was one near by.
i voted keep it, because if she can afford a starbucks, then she wouldnt miss it

i think he meant you have the bagel and starbucks.
Oh crap
well that case then I’d give it back, its just a buck anyway
lol dani that is true…if you can afford star bucks your doing pretty good!
but if I can afford starbucks then she can totally have it back
glamourboy wrote:

Then she wouldn’t be taking the train.
i think glamourboy is gay…just throwing that out there….
while i may not like him if your gonna talk sh*t don’t post it anonymously. just throwing that out there…

I think he’s already said that he is in a previous post.
I think if a person saw that yhe one who dropped the dollar was gay, or muslim, or middle eastern, or hadicaped, they would be less likely to return the dollar. or if the person was badly dressed and unattractive, so you wouldnt want to interact or talk to that person, most people would keep the dollar just to avoid interacting. I also think people are most likely to give it back to a woman rather than a man. Iam not saying its automatic, but society has many predijustices and they can unkowningly play out in our behavior.
what if one of us dropped the dollar? if you guys saw me dropped a dollar, would you give it back to me?
lol from past experiences i know thats not true of me. Yes i would give you back your dollar glamourboy.
Iam being honest, there are people I would give it back to and people I wouldnt. based on how comfortible I feel with their appearance.
PheeGee, I would break the dollar and say “here you dropped 50 cents” ;)
its mature of you to admit that but cos you know it you should now try and change it, become a more tolerant person, in my opinion.
I would give it back to the person no matter how they looked. It’s just the right thing to do and I would feel guilty if I kept it.
I might feel guilty, but I would buy that guilt away by buying me candy
is there something wrong with selfishness?
my mom called a represenitive at the cosmo school in our area and the tuition is $20,000. I hope a lot of people start dropping their money!
Iam not taking out loans because I dont want to go into adulthood indebt. If i cnat pay without loans, I’ll have to wait and save up with a job
:O Thats absolute insanity! I dont know anyone who didnt use student loans! Woah.
thats my plan and Iam sticking to it!
me and my parents talked about. my family is going to work out a way. Iam not using student loans, I think it great. I’ll start out adult life debt free and with good credit. iam also useing prepaid phones so I dont owe phone companies any money. And I’ll only use debit card, never credit cards, I fyoy want to live debt free in this economy, you have to make a debt free plan ahead of time

i can afford starbucks.. heck i budget for it lol. i couldnt live without coffee lmao
ok now really! what does lmao mean?
I would pick it up and catch up to the women who dropped it and give it back to her.
It is her money after all, just because it fell out of her purse doesnt make it free game.

you see, this question is too hard to answer. i cant imagine a situation where id be eating a bagel.
-~-SoEP-~-
Starbucks sucks
I personally have never had starbucks…I hate coffee.
I’d probably catch up and give it back. Even though it’s just a dollar. However, if for some reason I was prevented from catching up, such as a busy street or a crowd, then I’d probably do something charitable with it. I’d either do something like next time I was at the drive through or toll I’d tell the attendant to pay it on the order/toll of the person behind me, or I’d give it to a charity that actually asks for a really small donation.
I would want to keep it; as I’m in school too, and money is tight. However, if I DID tuck it in my pocket, (Which I would be very tempted to do), I would feel incredibly guilty. So, knowing that I would feel guilty like that, I think that I would reluctantly give it back. However, after I reluctantly gave it back, once the deed was over, I would be happy that I had done that and I would walk away with a bounce in my step, knowing that I had done the right thing.
If I couldn’t catch up with her, I would keep it.
Connection: Once, I was shopping at the local grocery store. I wrote a check for the purchases; and the check was $330. My hand was shaking as I wrote that check, because we did not have that much money in the checking account. But I have three hungry kids; and groceries/staples/snacks/food in general had run incredibly low in my household. So, I went to the store, and in a “devil-may-care” attitude, bought all the things that we needed to eat well for a while. I was tired of never having such and such to cook a meal, etc.
I kept waiting for the check to be presented to the bank. It was never presented. A couple months later, the check still hadn’t cleared. I now had some money in my account, so I went to the store and told them what happened; that the check had never cleared, and the manager said, basically, “no worries,” and did not make me write a new check. I was flabbergasted. Now, I put change in whichever little donation jar they have up when I am shopping.

there are many things wrong with that sentence
but id just egnore it and keep on going. dollars are worth nothing in the uk….
but if it was like ten then i would happily keep it
i wouldnt run up, i would shout ahead, “HEY! YOU DROPPED A DOLLAR OUT OF YOUR PURSE!! AT THIS RATE, YOULL BE BROKE SOON!!” and if she wants it baclk she can have it.
the warm fuzzies ill get from being a good boy scout are nicer than the two tacos i could get for that dollar.
Id definately give it back because if she ever found out that i stole it, she might get her crazy ninja llamas to attack me in my sleep, and they’d make me cough up the slurry cone i got with it, and then beat me sensless… or karma could kick in lolsz.. id rather not take my chances.
oh and if thats really you in that picture, you have gorgeous eyes=]
most people would take the money since they bought coffee from starbucks
when I grow up, Iam goona drink starbucks and bagels, but I wont actually drink coffee, becuase coffee is for old people who work in 9 to 5 jobs and I dont want to be sad like them
what do you mean?
you just do. Talking to you always seems to leave me not really knowing whats going on.
welcome to my world

If you never use/buy anything that uses some kind of credit system then you won’t have any credit history… good or bad. I doubt you’ll be able to continuously build up enough money to buy big things you’ll need: car, house, home appliances… especially after working you’re tail off to save 20000 only to use all of it to pay for school. You may have to use credit one day… and it will be a lot harder if you dont have any credit… not that you should go into debt….
oh, and I would totally give the dollar back… you just never know.
picked one, cause it happend in front of me one day and I ran after the lady out of instinct.
wasn’t a dollar though… it was either a 5 or a 50.
