Looked it up once when I discovered I was trying out a new playful insult. Then completely changed the spelling once I found the definition goes wrong.

It’s basically a racist term for an Italin, Hence why I changed the spelling of the word I’d “discovered”. Truthfully though, I’d never heard beforehand, it just sounded like a “geek” and “weirdo” combo. Sort of like f*cktard or f*ckwit. So I humbly changed the spelling so it would look like “gweedo”.

“Guido” is a slang term for a younger lower class or working class Italian-American or Italian-Canadian male from the urban Northeastern United States or urban Northern New Jersey, most often New York and the surrounding area due to the large number of Italian-Americans living in the area. The Guido stereotype is often portrayed as humorously thuggish and overtly macho attitude and an unyielding pride in his Italian ancestry.

In a wider sense (and not directly connected to the above term anymore) is the use of ‘Guido’ as a bouncer slang term for an obnoxious club-going male.

Hope that helps! :)
