But not necessarily. A lot of people have a physical relationship with friends.

But that’s not really a difference. As before. A lot of people do see friends in that way.

What kind of person sees their friends as prospective mates? o.o They’re just people you hang out with, share life with, you know. Not “All the people I might want to date at some point in the future” xP

I don’t think it’s so much a difference as an addition. A boyfriend/girlfriend IS a friend. That’s why a lot of things about the relationships are similar. I think the distinguishing factor, or one of them at least, may be the idea that you could see yourself living with this person for the rest of your life. More than just being roommates too, before you bring that up. Sharing everything about each other’s lives, working together as a team, almost two people living one life.

Tough question though. I’m not sure this is the right answer. :P

I hear it asked so often and I never know. That’s mainly why I asked. It certainly is a tricky one.

Hahaha! Thats great. You just made my day!

And wow, it really is a difficult question to answer. One you have more and different feelings for. These days there are tons of answers to this question. I would actually like to hear a lot more of them. More opinions!

I thought of something else, whether there is a definitive answer or not, this is something you know instinctively. I was just thinking about my own situation and realized my boyfriend never formally asked me out. We both just knew we wanted to be in a relationship. I can even tell you the specific day it happened, but a question was never actually posed. You can feel the difference without knowing exactly what it is.

friends are like family, if you cant picture yourself having children, sharing the bed, and married to a “friend” well its more than a friend then, my friends are like my brothers and sisters if i thought of them that way, it would be a bit repulsive. a boyfriend is someone you are in love with, someone you want to spend your life with and makes you feel alive, not just a good time

What if u have a girl friend and the relationship still feels like she just wants to have a good time? Should you not be in the relationship?
