i just started up my laptop and all my icons, my toolbar, and everything is gone, just a black screen with a mouse pointer.

i dont know anything about computers i just use it for music and i dont know what to do please help me.

You might have a virus. This happened to me before. Run the start task manager, press F1 and you’ll get Task Manager help on screen. Go to “Search help” and type in System Restore. Go to Restore system files and settings and follow the instructions. Then wait a while for the computerto restore. Then try starting up your computer. If the desktop is fine, congrats. If not… try again at an earlier restore point.
