should i stop using the computer?

i like it, and it helps me a bit, but
it takes up lot of my time and only now i realise how much time i wasted, it’s like an addiction. i want to work on my problems and i don’t do it when i have this distraction. i’m planning to stop for a while, then when i get back properly into real life and have not many problems, i will start again….in a long time. should i do this.

if you really thought it out and it seems like it will benefit you, why not? nothing wrong to try something out new for a bit.

Instead of cutting it out of your life all together why not just limit the time you’re on instead?

If it feels like an addiction then you cant just go cold turkey..cause most likely you’ll just sit there wondering what you could be doing on the internet lol.

Hello,
Hope you are good! A computer is great in the sense that it helps millions of people, I don’t think you should go cold turkey, I think you should go off and by a special plug that you can plug your computer into, which will turn off the computer after so many hours, try and get it down one hour each day, as Forever Night says like any addiction you don’t want to go cold turkey because that will only cause more problems then help.

well it depends on what you do with computer . if your twiddle with some useful applications like photoshop , autocad , … it’s fine but if you just play games on it or surfing the web more than 3 hours then your wasting your precious time !

Eh. Perhaps I should try to do that as well.

Though besides their magical time sucking up properties, they can be useful.
