Try to have a nice time, and be nice to others along the way.
Simple.

As i promised, here is my meaning to life. Emotion, whether it be love or hate, joy or sorrow, fear or recklessness, gives meaning to my life. the fact that humans ca have emotions when it would be a much better survival trait to not have them astounds me. Though i like to thik, i enjoy even mire just living and experiencing emotion. Love is more than a candle. Love can ignite the stars.

i thought the meaning of life was ambition, dreams, accomplishments and winning. now i came to realize that the meaning of life is to simply live it - peacefully, happily.

The true meaning of life as I have discovered it is that Life is a $hit sandwich. The more bread you have, the less $hit you have to eat. Oh and happiness comes from the inside. I could be homeless living under a bridge eating out of a dumpster and still have a smile on my face. Other people can live in mansions and drive Mercedes Benz’s and be miserable.

The meaning of my life is answered in the Quran…

Quran 51:56:
I have not created the jinn and the human kind, (for any reason) except that they should worship Me.

it is not a dream. it is simply a state you can be in. you can be happy even w/o money. you can have money and still be unhappy. same with peace of mind.

the essence of the bohemian lifestyle, to live without money and be happy and free, is sort of what you are getting at, correct? if not, i apologize.

That’s a bit egotistical isn’t it?

idk bohemian lifestyle. it is just based on my own personal experience. i could win yet i could still be unhappy. i could reached my dreams and ambitions and yet i could remain empty. so i ask myself, what is the meaning of all of this? idk. only god gives us the grace to be happy and at peace. the heart is restless until it finds rest in god.

Not really… if He created people to worship Him then so be it, He’s got nothing to be ashamed of, He should be proud coz Hes done pretty amazing things like creating the Heavens and the earth out of nothing! Besides He’s pretty important coz He sustains us and gives us the content feeling.

i am catholic, and my best friend is a atheist. We have discussions like this occasionaly, but not on this scale. We have come to an agreement that there is a mystical force out there. whether it created life or is a result of life is up to debate, but we believe i a greater presence.

not really…millions of people around the world hate their life. More frequently in the areas affected by wars/atrocities that were started by islam.
To the original poster, loved the wording of the question! I’d say that there’s no meaning. Everyone makes their own reality, don’t they. The greatest minds have pondered for centuries, and haven’t come up with an answer. So joe bloggs on here isnt likely to.

There is no external meaning to life, but each person should think life means the pursuit of happiness.

Remember that some of the best quotes and philosophies come from the masses. here we are, ot kowig eazchother, never seeing each others faces, yet we discuss questions that have puzzled people for ceturies. the key is to have an open mind. There are no right answers to these questions except those that there is an individual unique answer to every questio for each one of us. thakyou all for posting so far and keep up the good work if you want to.

there is a greater purpose in everything, given by someone higher among us. unless we fulfill it, we still find life empty and unsatisfying, no matter what.
