i need to know more about autism.
i’m writing a story about a mother thats just been told her son, under age 2, is autistic, and i also need specific advice that a doctor would give her. has anyone raised an autistic child, had an autistic child in the family, or had any other type of experience with autism? personal stories would give me the most insight (ex: i know that many autistic children have sensory integration problems, could anyone elaborate on that?), particularly about a child of that age(and if you’re a mother i’d like to know how you felt/would feel about it, or what doctors told you that was helpful), but anything will be helpful. thanks!
