It’s a shame that politicians can’t waver from their partisan sniping to come together and find a solution from global warming, pollution etc, because Earth is the one thing that all humans share, and the only way can really save it is by concerted governmental action. Shame, indeed…

I don’t believe the Earth’s climate is controlled by human activity. I believe politicians are trying to convince us that it is so that they can further control us and take more money and taxes from us thereby wrestling power from the common man. They are brainwashing you in school to scare you and make you want more governmental control… governmental control is a bad thing.

Well I don’t know about that… we’d all live much worse lives if we stuck to a barter system and stuff. It’s not universal greed that’s kill us. It’s corporate greed. People as a total don’t pollute as much in a month as mining and oil companies do in a week. And when the government levies polluting fines on them, they just pay it because they have the money, and it’d be inefficient for them to stop polluting. Exxon makes 5000 dollars a minute, no exaggeration; it’s ridiculous.

All of the inhabitants of Earth have been wiped out at least six times… every single time it was caused by an ice age. Not by warming, but by cooling. Relax, it is simply Big Brother trying to take more money and more control of your life.

Well, global warming may not bring out mass extinction, but we should hardly have that be a possibility before we act. Shrinking glaciers are (i wish i could do italics, if you know how, please tell me) causing a rise sea levels globally, and this threatens everyone and everything that lives by the shore, globally. A 10 foot rise in water would put the Netherlands region under 200 feet of water for good. It isn’t a problem we can keep laughing about…

exactly and science wise it has to be true gases killing the ozone layer that blocks out most of the ultra violent rays which more get through our temperature raises causing glaciers and ice caps to melt raising the shore drowning islands and some places by the shore. ultra violent light causes cancer and because of the raise of heat animals in cold climates will die and some animals in hot climates will not be able to stand the heat, more land becomes desert like which means less food for our growing world in population size but im sure the cancer will killoff a good amount of that until we find a cure for it.

Precisely. It’s all a massive chain-reaction and humanity as we know it, or the globe even, is on the cusp. But no one important really wants to listen to that. They’re too busy pushing petty ideological ideals to worry about the big picture, apparently.
