how far can you go on the first date?

is s*e*x too far? does the age old idea that if the girl “gives it up” on the first date the guy will loose interest and not pursue her still apply?

He’ll be intersted alright but for the wrong reasons. I think if the guy is worth being with and actually likes you then he wont mind waiting a few weeks before it gets that far. In fact he’ll probably want to. Personally I don’t think I’d even sleep with you if you bought it up on a first date. It’s just slaggy imho.

There’s countless number of reasons to not have sex on the first date and probably half a reason to have it (unless you have some weird ulterior motives and are plotting something sinister).

Better to make him beg.

Age makes a big difference on what I would say is “acceptable”. How old are you?

I’d say first date, just making out would be acceptable at that age, and I’m only in my mid-20s. Especially if you’re looking for the relationship to go somewhere, don’t blow it on the first date because sex SEVERELY complicates things. I can’t stress that enough.

At least until things get serious I think. This might sound funny, but when you can go to the bathroom with the door open in front of the person, that’s the best test of comfort in a relationship. Oh, and definitely make sure you’re sober when you decide the time is right to first have sex together.
And…use protection. It’s not worth the risk, regardless.

i don’t think there is any magic “date number” to know when the time is right. You have to decide that one when you feel comfortable. But just ask yourself if you’re sure you won’t regret it later.
