it will gradually fade when you do so many washes to it but the best way is to go back and get it lightened if your not happy dont do it yourself as the colours they use and the colour you may pick up might not go together so either carry on with it for a bit and wash it and let it fade because at first its going to be really dark or really bright then eventually when you start washing it it fades!
