So, what do you do during earth hour?
Did you turn things off, hang with friends, get out flashlights, read or just go to bed early? I’m interested to see what people did.

I did nothing. Where was Earth hour exaclty anyway?
I was on xbox and the computer at the same time I think.
Go search on google, or maybe wikipedia. I imagine it is mentioned on there. It’s on all of the news here. Every station. We turned out the lights, turned off the tv, used flashlights, read stories, played with the baby, watched the stars. All kinds of things. It is from 8:30 pm until 9:30 pm in your local time zone, all over the world.
We used wind up flashlight and listened to a wind up radio. It was interesting trying to get my 8 yr old to brush her teeth. She thought that it was too fun. She kept getting distracted, which frankly isn’t that unusual, but tonight she could stand still.
Well here in the middle of london I never notice a thing. And I was actually outside during that time too.
Really? It even showed the Eiffel Tower with the lights going out. It was pretty cool to see. Apparently, you’re not supposed to drive during that time either. We looked out our door, and others on our street were completely in the dark, like we were. It’s kind of fun. Playing board games with flashlights can be fun.
Lol. Nah, definately didn’t happen here. In fact I nearly got run over by a bendy bus on Euston Road abou that time. And the lights have been on all night.
In fact I’d never even heard about it from anywhere else but here; so I’m sure no one else here knew about it either.
They said on tv that it’s done in Australia, Europe and across this country, so I wanted to take part. Here, even the police station and fire departments go darker (though not black, not allowed apparently!)
And F.S.: as for being nearly run over, that sucks!

Yeah I know :P
And I kinda wish they had done it here; I coulda seen the stars. But it was cloudy anyways so…
WHAT?!?!? I see the stars EVERY DAY! I couldn’t imagine not seeing them!!!
B-)
Acoording to the news that is on tv right now, about 400 cities took part last year, 4000 this year. including 80 countries. The reporter specifically said “including China.” I wonder why China would need to be singled out? bc of higher population?
Yeah guess. More probably more to do with them being somewhat unmovable on the whole greenhouse gas cutdown deals.
And I love looking at the stars; but london isn’t really the place to do it ;P
