I just need to rant.

I recently stayed at a crisis center because I was feeling suicidal and while I was there my moods fluctuated from being happy to being depressed. When I spoke to the nurse and I was feeling depressed I told her I felt I needed to go somewhere where my meds could be adjusted and she then told me to “stop playing these little games.” apparently because she had seen my moods go up and down throughout the day. Why do people go into the health care field if they don’t like people or at least can’t treat them with respect and why do their co-workers always cover for them?! Grrrr…It makes me so angry!

Yea, and the person I complained to just told me it was because I caught them at a busy time and they couldn’t do anything about what I was requesting.

Let me tell you the reason. I see it all the time. They’re in it for the money. If they are techs, then it’s for the ease of the job. I hate that also. Don’t let that get you down, for every bad person in the health care field there are a dozen good ones.

Me too! I’m not sure my counselor believed me either. She said earlier you were feeling “OK enough to go home but now that I’m here you aren’t. What’s with that?”

If you don’t get the satisfaction that you want, remember this. Buy a journal and keep you thoughts in it on a daily basis…like a diary, but different. If you ever find yourself back in a mental health facility, write down the names of ppl who mistreat you. Include the date and time. Let them know that if they insist on mistreating you that you will have no alternative to notify the State and local Health Dept. of your complaint. Go to one of the Doctors there and insist that they take you seriously. They are there to help, not shove you aside as though you don’t matter.

Hey Alice… , UNfortunately, human error exists. In the sense that, if a person that cares for someone or deals with people is having a bad day or is royally piss*d off, they will act horrible to the people they should be caring for…

Wow, that must suck… You were already in a bad position, and some random nobody made it worse… She should be fired. And fined. I know that feeling that you just need to rant. I hope life changes for the better for you.
