Do I move on?

I have this friend that I used to be really close to. We kind of split up for awhile due to some family issues, but now we are talking again. We have been for months now, but the thing is he talked to me a lot at the beginning, but now he rarely ever does. I just went a whole month without talking to him and he will only answer my messages sometimes. We were trying to get our close friendship going again, but I feel like he’s not making an effort. I also feel like he is changing his mind about talking to me again. Should I just drop this whole thing and move on?

It really hurts me. I mean, I don’t want to stop being friends with him, but if he does not want me around then. . .

What are those family issues you had that seemed to have caused the split up in the begining, anon?

The family issues had nothing to do with us. He just had to move because of problems that they were having.

I don’t really know. I guess i’m just afraid of what might happen. I really do not think he has feelings for me anyway.

i think you just have to talk to him straight-on. Even if he doenst want to or tries to leave, if its hurting you to not talk with him then at least figure out what hes thinking and why he is trying to ignore you. even if his reason may hurt, at least you wont be wondering why hes acting this way towards you.

Yeah it would be so much easier if I knew what he was thinking :(

Lol no worries. I do the same thing. I think it’s easier to give advice than to take it yourself.

What I’m wondering is why don’t “best friends” open up and actually talk to each other. I thought that’s what friends were for! Why do people just leave each other gessing? Wouldn’t things be a lot clearer out in the open? (Sigh!)

I know right? What’s the point in being best friends or even close friends for that matter if you’re not willing to communicate or open up and say what you’re feeling? It’s messed up.

Too much needless suffering… But it seems more like a guy thing though. Woman talk about anything and share how they feel. Guys tend to keep too much inside. I’m a girl so this is something I really don’t understand.

Good luck sweetie. And good luck to that dude up there. Communication is the key!
Come to think of it, I think I’ll take my own advice now! LOL

Thanks for posting this. :)
