For starters donations to what cause?

Second most people who make donations want tax receipts.

Third there are many people out there that use western union as scams so some people maybe less likely to participate.

Fourth it would seem a little inconvenient to me at least to have to go to western union to make a donation… I would prefer to do it by credit card, check or money order to an organization I trust.

Fifth I have never heard of anyone doing it this way.

Why would you want to use western union?

I will qualify this by saying there maybe plenty of people who would be willing and happy to donate to you or your cause if they believed in it and knew you well enough…
