I just don’t know what to do. - Help.com

I just don’t know what to do.

I have no job, currently, and I’ve had 7 over the last 2 years. I dropped out of high school, and I’ve recently dropped out of college. At least I’ve got my GED I guess. I have no motivation to do anything with my life. I don’t desire or even feel the need to get a job or go back to school. I cannot, for the life of me, find any reason to even get out of bed. I can count my friends on one hand, and the only reason I talk to any of them is because I’ve known them for years. I’ll probably be getting kicked out of the house soon, and this will be the third relative’s house I’ve stayed at. I’m seeing no options for myself except being homeless or trying to join the military. After some very poorly carried out research on the military I discovered that a very low percentage of GED recipients are even allowed to join the military. On top of all this, I don’t see how I can make it through the military when I can’t even handle going to school or work for more than a few months at a time. So, what is a lad to do?

I’m sorry I can’t help you in any way, but this is almost word for word the story of my life so far.

I know it’s hard but it’s not impossible. In order to get oportunities you have to create them. All the jobs you have been trying clearly bore you or you would still be there. Take something you love to do, really think about it and then work on turning that into a job. So what do you love doing?

I have no idea what I love to do. I will really like doing something for a couple of weeks and then tire of it. I live in the middle of nowhere so there aren’t exactly many opportunities I can create. Also, I have no cash to my name whatsoever so moving to better area is completely out of the question.

SO you don’t love playing computer games, partys drinking, i am not talking what do you think you will love work wise I am talking what do you love, what are you passionate about. I love parties and socialising, I spent my college years at parties not studying, so I have my own party planning business, I self taught to start with then when I had made some money I went on a few business courses, nothing is impossible you just have to have passion for something and you can seek out the knowledge

I loved playing video games years ago, but now I’m sick of them. Also, I’ve never cared much for socializing. I’m kind of an introvert. I read books occassionally, smoke way too many cigarettes, and I like coffee. I really don’t have a passion for anything which would go back to my first post and me having a lack of motivation.
