Herb garden, easy, looks good, and useful…

.?
I have never had a garden before, i’ve never really gardened before either. BUT my dad is a landscaper and could definitely help me. However i wanted to try it on my own, he can help with the layout. But i wanted to start a herb garden, so meting different than your usual flower garden. That way it would look good and could be useful as well. What is something simple and easy to start with. and how should i go about doing it?

so basically i want a herb garden that will look good, easy to maintain and that will be useful for like lots of stuff candles, insense, dyes, decoration etc.

sorry, i’m really bad at explaining things. i’m hopeing you are able to udnerstand what i’m saying.

Idk much about herb gardens, but my dad plants a garden every year, though its more of a vegetable garden…

you could try basil though.
And ****. John’s Wart (though technically thats not an herb). Basil’s good to use in pizza, we use ours all the time. :) and ****. John’s Wart is supposed to be good as a sort of tea… There’s dill too, and sadly thats the end of my “herb” knowledge.

But another fun thing to grow is stevia, I don’t think thats considered an herb, but if you let it dry and crinkle up the leaves, you can use it as an artifical sweetner for your tea…

the starred words are “Saint” but for some reason they took it out…

Anyway, I didn’t see the stuff about candles and insence, sorry about that! :) So this post was probably not very helpful…

I don’t know much about herb gardens either, but i do have a window pot thing (it’s long and rectangular!!) and the herbs i have in it are parsley, sage, corriander, chives, thyme, rosemary and mint. I don’t have to do much with them, i just water them and use them when cooking. This is the first herb garden i have ever had and they all grew well. It’s worth a try!!!

Good Luck =)
