I am feeling suicidal and I don’t feel comfortable

calling the local hotline becuase yesterday my counselor told me that I use my suicidal ideations for attn. So what should I do?

Ask yourself why you’re feeling suicidal and whether waiting ten years with it would make any difference. Rarely if ever is a problem so bad that a ten years wait won’t solve it.

honey, NO ONE OR NOTHING as bad as it can be is worth killing yourself for. Remember that honestly, this too shall pass and everything happens for a reason. My Gran shared that with me years ago and the one thing I can promise you is that it is true. Things/Life does get better even though at times it is extremely trying and difficult. I am there myself, but I know it is only temporary and it will get better in due time. I know that that time can really swuck, but it will pass. promise~de

I want to help, but to be honest it probably will be easier to talk with someone you know better on here, but I’ll try to help the best I can regardless.

So first off, something I learned is most people are not just sad for no reason, there has to be something in particular that makes you feel this way, even if your not sure what it is, so what are the things your unhappy with in your life?

Well I can’t say I know much about depression, but I do know that if you did kill yourself there would be a whole bunch of really sad people. I know that most suicidal people say “no, nobody loves me” but that is so not true. every suicide I’ve been around, that’s not that case! The parents are always sad even if they told their kid they hated them - actually they feel even worse if they treated the kid badly. and the rest of the family’s always effected, and everyone at your school/church and now, if I found out you killed yourself, I would cry for you. Just because I know that there’s so much potential for you, and there’s so much happiness to be had! please don’t take that away from yourself

your counselor was wrong. find another counselor, i recommend a pastor. my pastor helped me a lot through depression previously and god really loves you and cares

Thanks for all your input everyone. Yesterday I ended up calling the hotline and they reported me to CPS because I was feeling this way while babysitting. So now I feel even worse.
