You could maybe try asking him if he loves you, before you tell him how you feel. Then you can see if the feeling is mutual, or if he’ll just push you away more and with in the end you getting more hurt than necessary~ (not that anyone should ever get hurt! -I’m just saying, it helps to know how he feels about you first; been through it)
