Do things differently.

Go out and get a completely new haircut. Change your clothes. Go get music you’ve never heard before. Go downtown (or to the suburbs… whatever is different) and EXPLORE. Eat something totally different. Talk to people you never talk to.

There is far far more going on around you than you realize.

ok, you are going to hear: it is a phase, everyone goes through it, your young and wait it out, its not a big deal. i’ve been there and it is a big deal when you happen to be in the middle of it. the important thing is the light at the end of the tunnel. one being the summer. look into volunteering outside your own area. there are plenty of organisations and it would be nothing but a good expirence. you could even find one that does trips abroad! also think about life after high school. it doesn’t matter what you are planning in terms of education, it will give you the oppertunity to get out of your home town. you may feel like you need a different country, but you may find out that you need different people. the chance to be someone different doesn’t always need miles. however i love to travel, so i see the draw!
