i have been out of work with depression for nearly a year now.

even when i try and get a job it works out for 2 weeks at the most and then i loose it due to emotional problems. i live with my boyfriend who looks after me and supports me when i need it. but he has just lost his job which he has worked in for nearly 5 years. its really got him down. we have a house and a mortgage and barly scrap by. now he is out of work we cant pay anything he is trying to get another job and so am i but there is nothing out there. if we loose the house we will still owe money cause it is now worth 10,000 less then what we bought it for so basically we are stuck. i have tried to get help from benefits to find out because i went to collage then uni instead of starting work at 16 or going on dole at 16 i was unable to claim anything (because i havent paid enough national insurance) even tho the docters signed me off long term. so now we are both on dole cause a joint claim we can get but it isnt enough to afford our home and they are making us wait nearly 2 weeks for any money so the bills companies are gonna be on our case. we are just dreading the mail because we know soon it will come and we will loose everything which is making it even worse because now i cant even wake up in the morning without bursting into tears and he is just breaking down further and further because i am not strong enough to help him. what chance have i got to get a job now like this and i just feel like no one cares. i dont like seeing him like this. what can we do

Hello, unfortunately, for you, this site cannot offer money to another person, as it is against TOS, however we the users of help.com can offer you advice, send you to sites where you can start off the healing process, go and talk to your local politician as your first line of “defence” and tell him everything and tell him how you are stuggling and your depression etc. and when you have done that he should or might be able to help you or at least point you in the right direction.
