Is it possible to fall in love with someone who you met online?

Someone who you’ve only known for a matter of days, who lives on the other side of the globe who you’ve never met face to face?

Because, I think I have…

no it is not possible to fall in love with a person you met online, you can however fall in love with the idea of them, until you acutally meet said person face to face to make the connection farther it is just the idea of them you are in love with, they could be ccompletlly differnt in person, i’ve been there before myslf

I think you can fall in love with someone online. But I dont think it could happen in just a few days, whether in real life or online.

i think thats its possibble.
i knew somone who has and they have known eachother for about three years now. they have been through a lot together[tons of drama] but just know it wont last forever.
you may stay friends but just be aware that things change. and you keeping things like that over the intwernet is hard.
the person i know is kinda breaking up with the person now and is staying friends but yet is getting other guys.

no it’s not possible–
you can be obsessed or have a crush or whatever– but real love comes from lots of time together, face to face–
this is not love– it will only be possible if you both meet up and get to know each other–

Lot’s of people meet on the Web and fall in love. I know of a couple of people myself. Part of falling in love is knowing that the person would be right for you and that the two of you would be right for each other. SSSSEEEEXXX is just the frosting on the cake.

Online? Yes possible but you have to realize you might have a false image of them.

In days? NO!

Just so you know im in love with a girl i met online and it didnt turn into love untill months and nearly a year of talking to her.

I’ve never felt like this before, I’m a grown woman with a few failed relationships under my belt. I thought I was in love before, but this is completely ovewhelming. It’s probably not love, but it feels so amazing.

i fell in love with someone with a single hello, allthough in real life though, but yea, on the internet, it is very hard if not impossible to fall in love with someone right away, the one i did for a while i only fell in love with after talking for a few days and helping her with some problems, you have to really weird to instantly fall in love with someone on the internet.
especially with avatars, if you fell in love with me, what for? my text isnt worth loving instantly and you nothing of who i am, metaknight, my avatar, looks nothing like me (thank god) so no, you cant just fall in love with some random chatter

Personally i don’t think so, love requires physical attraction and mental/emotional. You’ve go one, but possible not the other, unless you’ve seen pics of eachother. But like you said, a matter of days i dont think so. Love takes time, what you have is just…emotion.
When i was just advocation that crap right there… I fell in love with someone last year, but the only way we’ve ever talked has been via the internet, and myspace mail. So throughout this past year i’ve fallen MORE in love and can’t spend a day without thinking of her.. but that me.

In short, no i don’t think so.

I think it’s possible to fall in love with anyone even if they’re online, whether you can sustain that love is a different story. You may be in love with them today, but seeing as it’s been such a short span of time who knows what your feelings will be days from now. But to give you some hope a friend of mine met someone online and “fell in love with them online.” Currently the two are dating (in person not online) and have a great relationship going on over a year now..

It didn’t work out. He was a liar, he has a girlfriend and now a son. So, having said that, I’m erring to have the view that it is not possible. Maybe he has just tainted my view, but I’ll definitely not let this happen to me again.
