nikon dtm 520 help

I use a DTM 520 Surveying instrument with it’s onboard computer. When setting up the instrument for a backsite, I would like to verify the distance back as a check……….Is this possible without inversing first and writing it down???

Well, if the original seller can’t confirm how this might be done, you best answer will come from somebody who already uses this surveyor equipment. Here are some links to surveyor forums. I couldn’t find anything relating to your question, but you may have some luck if you post your own new question.
