ok so i have Assassin’s Creed for the xbox 360 and the disc got scratched because the xbox shifted and now there is a circular scratch on it. - Help.com

ok so i have Assassin’s Creed for the xbox 360 and the disc got scratched because the xbox shifted and now there is a circular scratch on it.

any ideas on how to remove this scratch cause i cant play the game. this makes me sad.

Know of any used cd/dvd/game stores. The one i go to will repair a disc for just a couple of bucks.

I hear toothpaste or peanut butter if you rub it on than wipe it clean will work. I guess it’s supposed to buff away the scratch.

I had the same incident with my halo disc when I first purchased it. Of course mine was so terribly damaged, that I just exchanged it for another copy. I recommend that you take it to a local gaming store, like Game Stop or somebody that specializes in games that is located in your vicinity. They may have cleaning or sanding solutions for restoring the game back to the operative condition.

use WinRar to unpack an iso into files
Nero 8 or similar to burn

not big on Console gaming, but there exists an army of people who do this thing online to play games homebrewed like this: internet research some of that.

tooth paste works a bit, but only on minor scratches. lol ive had enough scratched discs to know that peanut butter is a lie. lol

dude, buy from GameCrazy: nicest people on the planet and will allow returns like that all the time. Gamestop is hit or miss on jerk factor.

haha i have this on my COD4.
i can still play the game, but every 3rd or 4th game it spits the disk out and says it is not recognized.
