body help: I need to get thinner…. - Help.com

I need to get thinner…

. seriously thinner…

Its scaring me that I’m starting to think anorexic people look good now… I think I might be becoming anorexic…

But the only time I can stop eating completely is at college, because when I’m at home my parents make me huge meals and make sure I eat them. Its so unfair…

I tried not eating at college before and I didn’t loose much weight… I’m thinking of going to a gym but then I’ll get muscles… I don’t want muscles AT ALL! I’ve also tried eating healthily… nothing happened. Help?

Don’t go down the anorexic road. Your thinking of the present: how can I look thinner NOW? But you probably haven’t looked ahead far enough. My mom has a friend…she’s 56. She became anorexic in college…and is still anorexic. She has a ton of health problems, and can’t stand food. Once you quit liking food, it’s really hard to get back to normal. She’s always cold, and is NOT very pretty. Her body is like that of a child, while her head seems too large in comparison.

Your weight is probably fine. There is a certain weight you are supposed to mantain with a certain height. If your concerned about it, ask your doctor what weight range your supposed to be in.

If you need to loose weight, don’t starve yourself. Avoid the sweets and pasta, and run. Running helps get off the extra fat without building a lot of muscle. If you’ve ever seen runners they are always very lean but very fit.

But seriously…don’t go anorexic. Its the wrong way to go.

For your knowledge, no matter how hard you workout in the gym, you will not get muscles like guys..So don’t worry.

Also, try to get thin but be fit. There is no point if you stop having food. If you eat healthy and follow a proper workout regime, you will get thinner and look great.

Get a membership at your local gym and talk to a fitness trainer for proper guidance.

lol..I agree with Hanna. I am lean but not an anorexic. And I am happy with my body. EAT healthy and do a proper workout. You will be amazed with the results.

how to look thinner now?
squint a bit.
but on a serious note, eat little and often. like, 5 small meals a day, green tea is also good. don’t go too thin, it’s gross

Don’t stop eating completely. This will make you thinner at first, but that will stop after a while because your body will think it is starving to death and hold on to fat.
It can also seriously hurt you, and make you very ill.
You should talk to your parents about healthy eating and how you don’t need to eat as much as they want you to.
Try looking at some healthy eating websites, and getting your parents to check them out with you.
Try to exercise a bit more, but don’t do too much at once. Go for a walk once or twice a day then try a jog once or twice a day.
Hope this helped :)

i was anorexic 3 years ago. after about 4 months of being anorexic my hair got thinner and i got more spots. i always felt tired out and i was always cold, even in summer.it took ne 2 whole years to start eating normally. i am now a healthy weight and i look and feel fab compared to back then. i am now 17 and i realise what a silly mistake i made back then. now i just go for a 2 mile jog morning and evening and a half hour workout at the gym every saturday.
don’t go anorexic.
