sometimes it’s harder to move on when your heart is set on someone. no matter how horrible they treat you. your heart can’t let go.

Was the title a rhetorical question? If not I have ideas that may clarify.

I have some experience with a tortured heart, I may be able to provide some pacification.

Since you say anything, I am going to offer that which may help in the long run, but may hurt to hear right now.

The fact is, if your heart is betrayed by that which it desires, your heart is also betraying you. Though not intentionally. This means you have to make a big change in one of two things. Your ability to deal with that which your heart desires, or a change in what your heart desires. Both are extremely difficult and take from 3 weeks to 3 years to accomplish depending on your dedication, situation and heart.

You crave that which makes you happy. Yet your analysis of that which makes you happy is rarely initially correct when it comes to people. You can accommodate that by changing what can leave you feeling happy, or you can find things that are closer to what your heart desires.

In terms of love, this is most often the one that is most similar to you. The more you can relate to with a partner the more profound your relationship will be. Getting mistreated leaves little room to relate.

I guess your giving someone advice when maybe you shouldn’t? Sometimes it’s best to just state your opinion, and refrain from giving advice of any sort. People can find advice intrusive and disrespectful.
