I need to write a song about julis caesar!

It’s an asssignment for school, but I have no idea how to get started. I really could use some help with the lyrics; I have to sing it, and it has to be 2 minutes.
Anything is appreciated!

well think about it ….. you could do versus about all the bad thing he had done leading up to it…. then the chorus could be something about stabbing.. hahaha since that’s what they did….. my prof’s and teachers always enjoyed the comedic elements…. that way its not the same old same old

yes yes, but didn’t all that really happened is they thought he wanted to be king so they decided to kill him?
or is there more he did that im missing…

well he was trying to stay king forever….. he didn’t want to step down(as far as i understand) people didn’t agree with some of the laws and how he was reacting to what was happening in rome at the time….you could always write something from the view point of the ghost of caeser. near the end of the play how he feels after the fact

julius caeser…I read that book once…hey, what if you wrote it from the perspective of brutus? I always liked him better anyway. How he was disalusioned by julius caeser or something…

hmmm..yeah i like brutus better too. but i will probably do that,
what would you put as the chorus and versus though?

….I can’t write songs.

But the versus could be about what Brutus did/the downfall of caesar, and the chorus could be about something like, how once caesar was projected as a god, and now Brutus can see he is just an aging man, placing himself above others…or something. Like I said, I can’t really write songs.

just choose a song you like with an available insturmental/kareoke track, download it and try to fit any relevent words in. I doubt it has to be perfect, its more for fun when i have to do this kind of thing….
