How do I reset the password on a Linksys wireless router?

I can’t remember what the password is, and I was wondering if there was a way to reset the password, without wiping all the data from it. Either that, or finding out what the current username and password are. I know I changed them, but I can’t remember what to.

Resetting will wipe your settings. There should be a recessed reset button somewhere. If not, download the manual from http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/s….

Is there a way to find the password WITHOUT having to reset everything?

Usually when you initially setup the router it will create a text file called Linksys with all of the info you’re looking for. Run a search on your computer for a doc called Linksys. Start>Search>make the location you’re searching in the C: drive>Simply enter the word Linksys as the search criteria.
Hope that helps

Do you mean store your passwords, logins, credit card numbers and any other confidential and precious data in an extremely top secure form to prevent unauthorized users from accessing and viewing?
