Should I quit my part time job so that I can go to college?

I hate my dumb little job and its keeping me from being happy. I was suppose to go to college after I graduated from high school, but I was hit with depression badly in my senior year because of my parents cheating on each other and not wanting to stay as a family anymore. That made me depressed, hateful, and tired in my senior year. I became anti-social and didn’t care about applying to college and doing well in school. But now that it has been a while I feel like I need to go to college just so that I can hold off my suicidal tendencies for a few more years. Hopefully everything will go away as time goes on. But in today’s economy I need all the money I can get so that I can continue to do nothing. What do you guys think?

I would NOT suggest you quit the job but go to college part time or even full time if you want. you will need all the money you can get as a college student so a job is important. if it isnt enough try student loans. it will all come out in the wash…

And i about the suicidal tendencies…i feel you there…thats how orginally came to find this site…day by day is how i take it…but maybe im not the best person for THAT advice

hold your part time job, go to college, apply for financial aid, join 1 or 2 school organizations. Believe me, time will fly by and before long, you will be able to quit you’re “dumb little job”.

My daughter goes to college and works part time. When I went to college a lot of my friends worked too. You can get a job in the school cafeteria or as a teacher’s aid or as a resident manager in a dorm, you don’t even have to leave campus or have a car!
