Take a look at this (Will continually update)

I thought I’d vent my concern and ask the feelings and perspective of the Cold War that is emerging between the East and West.

I mean there were 3 stories across 3 consequetive days that made me believe we were about to go to war.
First there was this : Venezuela Cuba Issue - [http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2009-03-14-russia-bombers_N.htm]

Then there was : http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news...

Ive actually lost the 3rd one. But look it up and look up surrounding issues. Look up Issues with North Korea, with Iran, and when these issues crop up Russia and China veto any action taken against them. Then U.S.A has problems because it has countries in it’s back garden that would love to see them off the map.

And for me, I think both “sides” are playing a game in our environment. In Europe, the defence shields are being placed. And I will admit I do see sense putting them there and they will probably at this rate be made use of. But it isnt our battle.

I believe the EU is trying to becomne a superstate and prepare for the result of the Cold War that ensumes with each passing moment. I don’t think its a coincidence that 5 months after the whole of Europe is threatened[http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/6269408.stm], the rather forceful and unconsented (by the people) [http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=treaty+of+lisbon&btnG=Google+Search& meta=&aq=f&oq=] take a look for yourselves. Russia keeps throwing threats around, but also puts them into action. Threat [http://www.1913intel.com/2008/02/12/russia-threatens-nuclear-attack-on-ukr aine/] Action (Georgia- I’m sure you all know)

And our security services aren’t taking lightly [http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/crime/article4265569.ece]
“Claims and disputes

November 2006 Alexander Litvinenko, a former Russian security officer and fierce critic of the Kremlin, dies in a London hospital after being poisoned

May 2007 Russia refuses a British request to hand over the prime suspect in the killing, Andrei Lugovoi, a former KGB officer who is now a Russian MP

July 2007 Britain expels four Russian diplomats in response to refusal to extradite Mr Lugovoi

July 2007 Boris Berezovsky, the exiled Russian billionaire, claims that British intelligence thwarted a plot to kill him

August 2007 President Putin reinstates Cold War-style long-range air patrols by strategic bombers

April 2008 The MoD reveals that RAF fighter jets have been scrambled at least 21 times in 12 months to respond to Russian military aircraft encroaching on Nato airspace ”

and finally this : [http://www.prisonplanet.com/russia-seeks-new-missiles-due-to-us-shield-pl ans.html]
[http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/world/2008-11/05/content_7178031.ht m]

Its a lot to read I know.

But I want your opinion and perspective

my thoughts….well I think russia(regarding the thing at the bottom about russia) just likes to remind people that is was a world super power, and it still holds some considerable muscle. I also think it was flexing its muscles when it invaded georgea, and giving a showcase to the world as to what it is still capable of.

All these countrys that have been conducting tests on potential space-rockets, well…they could be used to carry neuclear warheads across the globe…

Europe becoming a superstate, well…look at the world, there are curently 3 countrys that can take up conciderable millatary might, chinna, russia and the USA. If europe was to stay indipendant, and war was to break out, europe would be forced to work together, but would loose conciderable amounts of land, while together, forces of europ would get to defenses, should tensions between countrys get that high.

The thing I can be almost certain of, is there will be no neuclear warheads fired…because thats MAD(mutualy assured destruction), because should one nuke be fired, the whole arsenel of europe, USA, Russia, Chinna, Iran, Isreal and north Koreah will go off too…and that would almost ensure nothin is left standing.

Although…I will say this…you have a point….when looked at induvidualy, the events don’t look too significantly, but when put together, and in the timeframe that they are…I will have to say…the world may be under one flag by the beggining of the 2100’s…or at the lattest 2200’s…..

Thankyou for your reply and I agree I see a world government coming in the somewhat near future.
