I’m starting to get really freaking pissed.
I have a vista laptop..and i accidentaly deleted microsoft outlook 2007. but it says its still on my pc..when i press it a window comes up that says “the operation failed due to an installation program. restart outlook and try again. if the problem persists, please reinstall.” But when i reinstalled it it said that “this program is already on this computer.” and when i try to delete the program in my remove list it says “the language of this installation package is not supported in your system.” ok..what the hell….i cant do jack now…anyone know what the hell i can do? im an author, and i need to write..i cant do anything now.

can you not use microsoft word? or works? or do what you need to do on another programme. and come back when its finished and see the replys people give here to help, and then just copy paste eveything on to it? im pretty useless with computors, especially vista, but maybe some other people could help.
I use Outlook 2007 on a regular basis. First, tell me what you mean by “accidently deleting outlook”. What exactly did you do?
OK I think I have your solution. Try this…

If it works, come back and let us know so you can help future users that have the same problem. Apparently it’s a common issue (according to Google :P )
Why can’t you use Notepad? I know it’s not as “pretty”, but it works just fine as a tool for text entry.
(Sorry for the weird suggestion, but I’m a writer, too and I use a Mac. We don’t have these problems.)

I suppose your username is self reassurance that you made the right choice in buying a Mac…

Please, almighty mac user, enlighten us as to how having a Mac is a benefit for writers, I’m genuinely curious as to what you will come up with.
Me too, I’ve always wondered what the appeal is with Macs, except they look nice..

It really depends upon what you write, actually. Are they pop-up picture books or baby-teething books… or are you a (quote) serious writer (unquote) who can’t possibly imagine that one word processor is much different from the next?
Does your word processor allow you to save your “text” doc as over 40 different dot suffixes so that each separate manuscript can be read on multiple platforms? Does it have cross-compatibility with every single other computer on the market or older than market? Does it allow you to personalize your writing experience with editable spell-checking and grammar controls, so that every time you type a word you know is spelled correctly (most necessary in a fantasy novel), the stupid spell-check doesn’t tell you it’s spelled wrong or creates an “unknown” grammatical error? Hmm?

Yes

Yes, including a variety of dictionary languages too.
Hmm…. :P
I meant made-up words, phrases, or names of things most often found in a fantasy novel.
Yeh you can add them to your liking. when you spell check there is an option to ‘add to dictionary’. Very useful with names..
