my pc keeps on entering bios setup.

it does not proceed to the OS and does not have options to skip bios setup. please help me resolve this problem.

You need to do a system restore. Your INI file is corrupted and will not boot the OS. If you have the disks that came with your PC use them if not try pressing F10 or F11 and use the restore feature there. Hope this helps :-)

thanks we tried your advise on pressing the F10 or F11, we also tried to insert our Windows CD and select it as the boot device but still, it keeps on entering on bios setup. :( huhuhuhu

Then its not a HDD problem. Check your memory, take out all of the memory and see if it will boot. If it goes back to the bios it could be a board problem or power supply.

Hi Clue, I have tried to isolate the memory, and it does not entered the bios setup and it responded 3 short & 1 long beeps. when I insert back the memory it enters to bios setup again. I tried to remove HDD and optical drive but it does not help too.

Then you have a problem with the mother board or power supply. If you have access to another power supply hook that up and see if your board works. If it still goes to the bios then the problem is with the board. One question did you change any pin settings on the mother board? If you did reset them back to what they where.

hi clue,

my pc is ok now. :) but before we realize the solution, we tried to replace the power supply but its spec does not match my mother board power rating spec.

you know what, we replaced the key board thinking that there are anomaly happening on it and poof! it works….

sorry for bothering you but we appreciate your time and ideas on this. we share our happiness to you although it is just a little thing. thanks very much!
