Recently, I’ve had this strong feeling that comes an goes.

It is very strange feeling to explain, it is sort of a greater or deeper connection with my surroundings. It feels like I am walking down a path traveling at the same constant speed, I don’t slow down or speed up even if I get tired or not. The path is constantly the same, it never changes.

This would only happen to me some of the time, but I am feeling it more and more often and I think someday this feeling will take over me. I don’t know whether to feel good or bad. This is a very important topic to me. I’ve talked I know about this. I even talked to a psychiatrist. I don’t try as much as I used to because everyone I tell, doesn’t understand what I am telling them. They think I am insane. I am just looking for ANY ADVICE I can find. This will most likely take over my life. I’m not sure if it is bad or good, but I want to know as much as I can before it does.

Your brain is just working right, don’t worry about it so much. Put it to good use, i.e. use it to your advantage, whatever your passionate about, take it on with the confidence of being in-tune with your surroundings. I am a highly aware person, as well. It sometimes fades, but lately I’ve been very healthy.

Something you might want to consider is that this is something that is always with you, but that certain consumptions or activities might hinder it, such as, a poor diet (that is, processed foods (like hot pockets) or foods with excessive grease, sugar, etc. It can also be something that you DO eat/drink, like maybe when you get enough of certain amino acids, your brain kicks into high gear and you feel highly aware of your surroundings.

In addition, I find that when I spend extended periods of time “vegging out”, just watching reruns of Family Guy and just watching whatever’s on TV, rather than thinking about things and doing things, creating things, listening to good music, talking with people and showing a genuine interest in them… I find that my sensitivity fades as well. The mind is like a muscle which only stays large with use. The more you use your mind, the more uses you find for it.

I am glad that you are excited about the possibilities of feeling connected with your surroundings. Please just forgive nay-sayers, they simply haven’t experienced what you have. But we can still love them anyway… perhaps someday they’ll realize the interconnectedness of everything! (love that word)

It’s find that the more things I do and have to accomplish, the worse it gets. It’s also more then just being sensitive, its a strange UNKNOWN feeling that I never felt before OR that I just don’t know about. I feel like this feeling can lead to my arise or downfall, but I am afraid to see what happens. I feel like the more I am ready the better the chances of something positive happening are.

so…you know it happens, you can be ready for it..don’t be afraid of it, i think you’re making more of it than it really is.. embrace it, and make sure something good happens, i dont think this will kill you if you dont want it to…
